A new work by director Lee Dong-in, winner of the Best Director and the Best Work at the 9th Korea’s New Director Festival A shabby house with no windows and no sunlight in. A grandfather and a boy are living in there. The grandfather is adamant to protect the boy from any cruelty and fear in the outside world. However, the boy wishes to go out and find his mother who he has never met. One day, the boy gets drawn to a singing voice heard from outside and finally goes out to face with it. What is the real truth in the world that runs out of control? Survival or Truth “Grandpa said that human being’s evil spirit comes from numerous bodies buried underground.” “I say this one more time; the outside world is dangerous. I’m the only one who can protect you, so you should wait.” “If I can’t leave today, I’ll tomorrow. And if I cannot tomorrow either, then I’ll leave the day after.” This is where a heap of black ashes is only left after an unknown catastrophe swept away. Maybe snow keeps coming down in order to cover it, but you cannot cover the human nature however hard you try. When the snow finally melts, the evil spirit will appear. “A Dark Boy” is a story about people who live through with their natural desire and madness after catastrophe and about a boy who tries to stand on his own feet in there. 주최: 세종문화회관
