Miga Lim Guitar Recital Five

행사 소개

Miga Lim Guitar Recital Five Miga Lim, who has established himself as an unrivaled guitarist offering rich expressions, is performing work in May from the golden age of guitar music under the title of “Five”. The performance consists of five pieces that were created by master guitar music composers in the 20th century. All were originally written for guitar, and each is the most effective work for displaying the various charms of the guitar. Villa-Lobos’s “Five Preludes”, which he will play as the first song in Part 1, demonstrates his unique characteristics by harmonizing Brazilian rhythm and melody with classical language. It is recognized as the most artistic work among Villa-Lobos’s guitar music. It is followed by “Five Bagatelles” by English composer William Walton, which is Walton’s only solo guitar song, and is dedicated to the legendary guitarist Julian Bream. This work is appreciated as representing a new style of guitar music with its high level of skill and colorful composition. In Piazzolla’s “Five Pieces for Guitar” in Part 2, which is also Piazolla’s only guitar solo work, the nuevo tango style is deeply incorporated into each piece. The last song, “Suite pour Guitare” by composer Jacques Hétu from Quebec, is based on Olivier Messiaen’s mode and unique composition, and is distinguished by the expressions of neo-classical and neo-romantic styles. With musical elements of South America and Europe exquisitely harmonized, this performance will provide a rare opportunity in Korea to discover the true beauty of guitar music. The work presented in the program will express the charms of traditional guitar music, an extreme guitar sound, and display new possibilities for guitar music.
