Pianist Kim Bo Young Beautiful Today Winners Solo Recital

Pianist Kim Bo Young, winner of 2020 Beautiful Today Young Artist Award, completed the Seoul Arts Center Young Musicians Academy, then graduated with honors from Yewon School and Seoul Arts High School before advancing to Seoul National University College of Music, where she graduated at the top of her class (Seoul National University President Award). She then finished her masters and professional performer courses at U.S. Indiana University Jacobs School of Music, and completed her doctorate course with a full scholarship. This recital by pianist Kim Bo Young, who is currently active as a solo and chamber music performer both at home and overseas, consists of Mozart’s early piano sonatas that are not performed often, piano solos by young Korean composer Choi Jae Hyuk, two scherzo songs by piano poet Chopin, Beethoven’s late piano sonata announcing the transition to romanticism, and a Schumann Fantasy Piece filled with imagination.
