Jang Sa-Ik Soripan: Gil (The Road)

행사 소개

Jang Sa-Ik Soripan: Gil (The Road) — Which Way Shall We Go? I would say that for me, singing is my life coming into bloom. Though I lingered at the back while everyone else was blossoming, and only after a long, cold winter of endurance, and after the bright spring and summer had all gone by, did my own flower finally open — and for that, beyond all measure, I am grateful for this singing self, and hold it dear, and am happy. We cannot know where we are going, and still today we walk the road. Sometimes among people we lose our way, and sometimes among people we find it again~ Jang Sa-Ik Soripan gathers around Jang Sa-Ik — a singer who moves freely among popular song, jazz, Korean traditional music, and classical music, and who sings life plainly and truthfully with a formless freedom — together with the musical friends who have breathed alongside him for many years. Joining him are the jazz band led by music director Jaeyeol Jeong, trumpeter Sunbae Choi, percussionists including a modeumbuk drum ensemble, haegeum player Goun Ha, the Solists — the group with which professional a cappella began in Korea — and the Unico Choir. We invite you to a soripan whose deep resonance moves everyone who hears it. 주최: 세종문화회관
