Bohmsoo Shin Percussion Recital: My Little Island

행사 소개

The most primal — and gentlest — instrument written into human DNA! A world you have never met before — a new music carried to you by percussion. The instrument most familiar to humans may well be "percussion," which we have used since the dawn of our existence. Unlike percussion of the past — blunt and lacking in nuance — percussion over time has developed remarkably, and is now showing audiences a presence fully equal to that of any solo instrument. On July 15, 2026, listeners will be able to encounter the purest melodies of the most contemporary — yet most classical — percussion music through percussionist Bohmsoo Shin. This recital allows you to savor everything percussion has to offer, from grandeur to warmth, and — through several new premieres by composers including Aldridge, Xenakis, Sung-eun Kim, Liu, Dong-wook Park, and McLaughlin — to discover yet another face of percussion music. Bringing these works together, the concert points to a new direction for the future of percussion music and will offer a fresh impact to the Korean music scene. 주최: 세종문화회관
