True understanding and contemplation of a person who is losing his memory. Andre from “The Father” is an 80-year-old man with dementia. He is losing his memory and his distorted memory overwhelms and destroys his daily life. Even under this increasingly hopeless condition, Andre struggles not to lose his dignity both as a human being and as a father. Andre is an epitome of fathers of our time. Audiences will experience from the story of Andre and the characters around him a dramatic catharsis of discovering a true portrayal of father in our time and reflecting on a tragic fate of human being. There is no better actor in Korea than Jeon Mu-song for “The Father” Jeon Mu-song, who garnered the highest acclaim as Willy Loman, the father from “Death of a Salesman,” returns to stage as Andre, an 80-year-old man with dementia. You will be able to find his best acting portraying the true self of his character again in “The Father,” and be awed by his Andre if his Willy Loman already impressed you. Jeon is one of the actors who meticulously analyzes his character and becomes completely absorbed into the character.
