As salt plays a necessary role in our life, the Sejong Cultural Center is trying to expand the culture and art ecosystem with an annual small-scale donor community sAlz This sAlz donors invitational concert is a beautifully and richly decorated classical concert with musicians who are recognized and active both domestically and internationally, including Novus Quartet and the baritone Eunggwang Lee. This concert is not only for sAlz donors, but also those who have visited the Sejong Cultural Center for the first time in their life. Please become Sejong Cultural Center sAlz for a touching time through the accompanying art, and invite those who are precious to you to the concert. This concert will be hosted by Byuksan Engineering and the Korea Mecenat Association. Novus Quartet, a string quartet, is composed of performers that represent Korea, including violinists Jaeyoung Kim and Younguk Kim, violist Gyuhyun Kim, and cellist Wonhae Lee. Since being formed in 2007, they have received awards from the Osaka International Chamber Music Concert, Lyon International Chamber Music Concert, and more. In 2012, they won the second prize at the world’s most prestigious Munich ARD Competition, and in 2014, they won the 11th Mozart International Competition. It has been said that the recordings of Novus Quartet have written a new history of chamber music in Korea. The quartet has performed consistently, releasing Death and Girl in 2019, and a recording of Franck’s Quintet with pianist Michelle Dalberto, for which they received the Diapason Golden Award. In 2020, they received Byuksan Music Award at the Byuksan Traditional Award Ceremony.
