Children's Day Fairy Tale Concert with PICAS Ⅸ

행사 소개

“The First Ever Classical Concert for Our Children” Feeling sorry that the little children could not watch their pianist mother’s concert, PICAS was founded in 2013 to make concerts available for children. We wish to create new music by fusing art and storytelling with two pianos to expand the culture of classical music performance for parents and children can enjoy together. PICAS’ “Juvenile Mind” concert series is based on the story of composer Hwang Yoon-hee's masterpiece. It has been described as “Fairy tales that are beautiful like watercolors, 'read' with ears” and delivers familiar music with high-quality classical vocabulary to children, including infants and toddlers. This “Children's Day Fairy Tale Concert with PICAS: Five Madangs (Pieces) of Pansori on Piano” is a performance that combines the piano’s wide range and advantages of keyboard instruments with the delightful harmony of the traditional rhythms of “pansori”. We have prepared a new story about “the eyes” for five pansori madangs (pieces) that have been brought to life for a long time, with familiar classical music allowing melody and rhythm to be felt more intimately. We hope that it will be a pleasant and happy experience that breaks the boundaries of generations, genres, and art with messages of consolation and hope during difficult times. Program W. A.
