Seoul Philharmonic Orchestra Chamber Series I

행사 소개

German cellist Alban Gerhardt will perform a piano trio piece with members of the Seoul Philharmonic Orchestra (SPO). Gerhardt is a versatile cellist who is well-known for his works such as pieces on the Chin Un-suk's Cello Concerto album (DG) and the Hyperion's various albums, conducted by Chung Myung-whun’s Seoul Philharmonic Orchestra. Both pieces have something in common: they are a tribute to their loved ones. Shostako vich Piano Trio Suits No. 2 is a piece to mourn the loss of Ivan Sollertinsky, a Russian scholar and musician. Tchaikovsky's Piano Trio "In Memory of a Great Artist" is a piece in honor of Nikolai Rubinstein, a pianist and former director of the Moscow Conservatory. In the space between the two trio pieces that have relatively long-sustained notes, you can listen to Alban Gerhardt's Bach Unaccompanied Cello Suite No. 3. Gerhardt, who is passionately exploring new repertoires by shining a new light on familiar pieces. Let's listen to the deep and mellow tone of Matteo Goffriller cello from 1710. Programs and performers may be subject to change. 주최: 세종문화회관
