Tenor Seungjic Kim – Solo Recital: 〈Dichterliebe〉 ("A Poet's Love")

행사 소개

Seungjic Kim, principal lyric tenor of the Staatsoper Hannover in Germany, will present a recital on Saturday, July 18, at the Sejong Chamber Hall. 〈 Tenor Seungjic Kim – Solo Recital: Dichterliebe 〉 is a new musical milestone presented by Seungjic Kim — an active performer on European stages — for classical music lovers in Korea. As an homage to the legendary German lieder tenor Fritz Wunderlich, the program is built around the same selections as Wunderlich's celebrated recording, offering a precious opportunity to experience Seungjic Kim's delicate, beautiful tone and deep poetic sensibility in full. Part I illuminates the classical beauty and variety of the German Lied through representative songs by Beethoven and Schubert. Familiar yet deeply substantial works will be performed, including Ich liebe dich ("I Love You"), Adelaide, Die Forelle ("The Trout"), and Der Musensohn ("The Son of the Muses"). Part II is devoted to the heart of this recital and a touchstone of the German song cycle: Robert Schumann's Dichterliebe. Setting Heinrich Heine's poems to music, the work unfolds with the flow of a single lyric poem and draws the audience into the deep depths of Romanticism. This recital will be a stage of authentic lyric-tenor artistry, fully embodying the poetic language and sensibility of German lieder, and will further broaden the depth of Korean classical vocal music. Pianist Misol Kim, who earned a master's degree in lieder accompaniment from the Hochschule für Musik und Tanz Köln, will provide the accompaniment, offering a flawless musical partnership. 주최: 세종문화회관
