Art in the Performance Hall

행사 소개

A Pause on the Stairs Sejong Center for the Performing Arts continues the Art in the Performance Hall series with the aim of allowing art to move beyond the boundaries of the stage and naturally become part of citizens’ everyday lives. The exhibition A Pause on the Stairs focuses on the staircase of the Grand Theater — an in-between space defined by movement. This staircase is a place where anticipation before the performance and lingering impressions afterward intersect, offering a brief moment to pause and refresh the senses. By focusing on this fleeting moment, the exhibition proposes a new form of “pause” where space and art quietly meet. he distinct pictorial languages of the two artists, Yeohyun Kwon and Younmi Byun, interact with the fluid spatial nature of the staircase, creating emotional scenes where stillness and movement intersect. ollowing the natural texture of the space, A Pause on the Stairs allows painting to gently permeate its surroundings, offering visitors a quiet moment of rest within the flow of movement. 주최: 세종문화회관
