Jung Tae-chun and Park Eun-ok are representative Korean folk musicians who sing the times and humanity. They debuted in the music industry with “The Village of Poet” in 1978 and Recollections in 1979, respectively. Since their marriage in 1980, they have sung together as musical partners and life companions. As well as being singer songwriters and troubadours of lyrical songs, they have also been cultural activists, expressing resistance and acting against the social contradiction through their songs and direct participation. After their fourth full length album “A Departing Ship” in 1984, they released eight albums, including their 11th album “Bus En Route to Ocean" in 2012, under the joint name of the couple. From 2019 to 2022, the "Jung Tae-chun & Park Eun-ok 40 Project" was held in various fields such as albums, concert exhibitions, and publications to commemorate the 40th anniversary of Jung and Park’s debut. In addition, the music documentary film “Song of the Poet, Jung Tae-chun" was released in theaters in 2022. In 2025, with their 12th new album, they are launching the "2025 Jung and Park’s Literary Project". In this performance, the audience can enjoy more than 20 songs, including classic repertoires such as The Village of Poet, Candles, A Departing Ship, and the Bukhangang River, along with songs from the new album, such as In Between Torrential Rain, Wild Goose, Dandelion Poem Collection, and Apricot Flower Play on Hadong Hill, and others. They will sing with the 11-member band and chorus and ensembles that have been with the artist duo for a long time. They are preparing for a literary concert that nobody tried or performed yet, featuring poetry reading, calligraphy video, and visual content unfolding in photos and texts. Although Jung Tae-chun's songs are poetry, and he is called a poet, this time, the audience can experience a new appreciation of popular music.
