Canada Aurora Expedition - Look at Aurora

행사 소개

The year of 2013 is so meaningful in terms of marking the 50th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Korea and Canada so that we would like to display the photos of aurora taken in Canada. Aurora refers to the phenomenon that high-energy particles coming from sun are caught by earth's magnetic field to fall down and crash with particles floating in the atmosphere to emit light. Such a phenomenon can be seen near the South Pole and the North pole. The aurora expedition went to Northwest Territories in 2009 and 2013 to obtain the appearances of aurora to be more activated on an 11-year-cycle of solar activity. 주최: 세종문화회관
