행사 소개

The Minnesota Contemporary Ensemble (MCE) is a group of professional musicians from the University of Minnesota School of Music with an aim to make contemporary music known to the public by exploring the repertoire of contemporary music and presenting diverse ensemble music. Founded with intention to embody its alma mater's motto, "Driven to Discover," in the realm of performance, MCE has committed to gather strength to expand the horizons of musical community beyond staying in familiarity. Even throughout the pandemic, MCE went on doing its activities through constant research and efforts, holding concerts in August 2020 and August 2022. It plans to set a stage of festival in August 2024 to showcase the essence of contemporary music through more novel repertoires and performances. It is expected that the creative challenges and endeavors of the performers will go beyond the intellectual curiosity of the audiences, touching their hearts and forging a profound musical connection. 주최: 세종문화회관
