About the Concert "90 minutes of stepping out of the auditorium and into Schubert" In 1824, amid physical suffering and profound loneliness, Schubert confronted the shadow of death. A record of that fierce struggle, Schubert's String Quartet Death and the Maiden is reborn in hidden spaces around the Sejong Grand Theater — the lobby, stairways, VIP rooms, and more. The concert is structured in two parts: in Part I, four performers scatter throughout the Grand Theater, dismantling into solo works the four emotions with which we face death — struggle, fear, madness, and sorrow. In Part II, these voices finally converge into one complete quartet.
