2026 Seoul Philharmonic Chamber Classics I: America

행사 소개

The Seoul Philharmonic Orchestra’s 2026 chamber music series explores different countries and cultures through music. The first destination of this musical journey is the United States. The program opens with David Sampson’s Breakaway, a striking work featuring two trumpets and electronics. It is followed by Amy Beach’s Romance, a quintessential Romantic piece, and Astor Piazzolla’s Four Seasons of Buenos Aires, a work that traveled from the same American continent. The program continues with Philip Glass’s String Quartet No. 2, “Company”, representing the minimalist movement, and culminates in George Gershwin’s Rhapsody in Blue, perhaps the work that most vividly captures the musical spirit of America. Enjoy music drawn from this great “melting pot of styles.” 주최: 세종문화회관
