Soriul Ensemble, 42nd Regular Concert: City Memory II

행사 소개

Cities, artifacts, music: time and memory gathered layer upon layer. City Memory II: Layers of Memory is a cross-genre chamber music project of Soriul Ensemble that unfolds, through music and moving image, the emotional life of the city, where human feeling and memory have accumulated. If the first City Memory in 2025 laid out the landscapes and moods of several cities in music, this second journey in 2026 moves past the city's outward scenery toward the strata of time and feeling that have gathered within it. From the lyricism of Ibert's Paris and his exotic Seville, to the Vienna that glimmers in Czerny's romantic recollection, to the Prague in which Smetana carved deep sorrow and recovery into music, and finally to a commissioned new work for saenghwang and classical quartet inspired by artifacts in the National Museum of Korea, this concert invites the audience on a single musical journey where past meets present, East meets West, and sound meets image.
