20th Century "Neoclassicism" Various musical trends from musicians around the world appeared between the 19th and early 20th centuries, where various subjective music was expressed from late romanticism, impressionism, expressionism, to ethnic nationalism. Musical neoclassicism was a harmonic Renaissance movement in the early 20th century that went back to the beginning, and aimed for the beauty of composition and form characteristic of classical music. Attempts to not lose continuity with past music while also bringing in new factors were important in that new 20th-century music was found from counterpoints of the Renaissance and the Baroque era. Accordingly, this cello recital compares the personal (neoclassic) views of composers by country (Germany, Spain, Russia).
