The 5th Regular Concert of Ullim Saxophone Ensemble

행사 소개

The Ullim Saxophone Ensemble is Korea's only one female team. The two saxophonists, Choi Boyoon and Hong Hyunjoo, who were studying together in Paris, France in 2014, organized a team aimed at interacting and empathizing for the sake of overcoming the limitation of attracting audiences, closed-mindedness of the existing classical ensemble, the cliché of the repertoire, and the problems of the current classical performance ecosystem. Since its foundation, it has built up its musical prowess as a duo ensemble through many performances in Paris, France, starting with the ‘Sunrising Concert’ hosted by the Korean Cultural Center in France, and has demonstrated its musicality that it has studied so far, along with a series of professional performers at Youngsan Art Hall in Korea. Since then, it has scouted Kwon Daeun and Jang Yookyung to become a quartet, showcasing a stage that sympathizes with the audience through unique musical ideas and planning skills focusing on sensuous expressiveness. As a classical saxophone ensemble, it has presented both classical tone of the orchestra, and exquisiteness of the chamber music. 주최: 세종문화회관
