행사 소개

Evolving from a tryout performance into a fully-fledged musical! It started as a stage reading in 2018, and then was developed into a tryout performance in 2019, both at Wooran Cultural Foundation. Now after four years of anticipation, a fully-staged musical “Paris Bakery” is finally born and meets with audiences at Sejong S Theater in May. It has a story that everyone can relate to, but that unfolds in a very unique way. 19-year-old Sung-woo travels back to the past in a special place called ‘Paris Bakery’ where he meets with his parents at the same age as his. This place becomes the center for his family to open up to and understand each other, and ultimately lets them discover their soft first love and their long-cherished dreams. Embraced with a relatable story to people of all ages added by a fantasy element of time travel, “Paris Bakery” will leave everyone with a feeling of warmth and love. The creative team to offer this dream-like theatrical experience includes writer Kim Han-sol for the heart-warming story, composer Kim Ki-yeon for classical tunes evocative of different emotions, director Chung Tae-young for delicate direction and music director Shin Eun-kyung for excellent music arrangement and its rendition. SYNOPSIS 19-year-old Sung-woo aspiring to become a pâtissier is having problems with his father after his mother’s death. He gets a chance to work at Paris Bakery during summer vacation, but on the first day of work, he runs into his parents at his age.
