Resonance erupting, at last, from the void Within the repetition of intense beats, the mask has long served as an interface for the transformation of identity. Upon this movement of erasing and rewriting one's name, we turn to Hermann Hesse's Siddhartha — the one who thought, waited, and fasted — and ask how awakening arrives at our flesh. At the end of that question, The Greatest Masque , who have long crossed the boundaries of tradition to question the contemporaneity of Talchum(Korean mask dance), meet baan , the band honored with the Best Heaviness Album at the 23rd Korean Music Awards. Together they push against each other's rhythms, intensifying the density of sensation. And so, the ancient structure of Talchum — which has veiled faces, erased individuals, and synchronized the collective into a single rhythm — crosses paths with the ritual energy of metal.
