Chungnam Traditional Music Orchestra of Cheonan City, founded in 1990, is a performing arts organization that expands the horizon of Korean traditional music home and abroad through the inheritance and advancement of traditional music, through its future-oriented brand-new programs. Based on tradition, the orchestra holds performances to preserve Korean music and create the value of diverse Korean creative music, and actively engages in regular concerts with new themes and repertoires, diverse cultural and artistic education for provincial residents and people from other cities, and provincial performances in underprivileged areas. In addition, it fulfills its role as a cultural ambassador for Korea by promoting Korean traditional music, including international exchanges through overseas performances.
