Korean Traditional Music Orchestra Festival-Seoul City Metropolitan Traditional Orchestra

행사 소개

Founded in 1965 as the first traditional music orchestra in Seoul City, with the aim of ‘modernizing, popularizing, and globalizing Korean traditional music,’ the Seoul City Metropolitan Traditional Orchestra has since played a pivotal role in the development of the Korean music industry through creative succession of traditional music and promotion of new creative music. It also presents many different orchestral music and concertos every year, and has secured popularity and contemporaneity by sharing the excellence of Korean music with citizens through collaboration with various art genres and artists. Having maintained its own identity as a traditional music orchestra, the Orchestra poses questions about the past, present, and future to many audiences of our time, trying to resonate with contemporary people and history. 주최: 세종문화회관
