현대음악앙상블 소리 제25회 정기연주회 Histoire du Jazz - 재즈의 역사

행사 소개

Jazz comes to mind when considering the distinction between pre-Romantic and post-modern classical music. In the late 19th century, a variety of music emerged in the US, including ragtime, blues, cakewalk, and fox-trot. Then, in the 1920s, they gathered under the name Jazz to celebrate their golden age. Classical music composers were enthusiastic over the new style of music, and American composers, in particular, regarded jazz as the "music of America," significantly changing the American classical music. This concert, organized by Sori, the Contemporary Music Ensemble, is an American music event where classical music and jazz interact. It will offer a special opportunity to enjoy 100 years of music, showcasing the encounter between classical music and jazz; led by Gershwin who guided the golden age of jazz, from legendary jazz musicians Artie Shaw and Claude Bolling (who is French but worked with American jazz musicians), to Paul Schoenfield and William Bolcom, showcasing the essence of jazz-classics. 주최: 세종문화회관
