Experience Gaga, the movement language developed by world-renowned choreographer Ohad Naharin, former artistic director of the Batsheva Dance Company, at the S Theater. Chunwoong Kim, the first Korean alumni of Batsheva Dance Company, will guide this workshop. Gaga originated from Naharin’s need to communicate with his dancers and his curiosity in the ongoing research of movement. In this workshop, you will gradually connect your body and imagination, building into a multisensory and traversing a wide spectrum of movement—between soft and thick textures, delicacy and explosive power, understatement and being over the top. Gaga offers an welcoming and accepting atmosphere where you can fully enjoy the pleasure of movement. This workshop is Gaga/people program, open to everyone regardless of previous dance or movement experience—whether you’re a complete beginner or a professional dancer. “We connect to the sense of ‘plenty of time,’ especially when we move fast, we learn to love our sweat, we discover our passion to move and connect it to effort, we discover both the animal we are and the power of our imagination.”
