The Seoul Guitar Quartet‘s 24th Anniversary Concert

행사 소개

The Seoul Guitar Quartet is the very first guitar quartet formed in Korea by four professional guitarists who studied classical guitar. Since their inception in July 1999, they have given more than 40 concerts every year both in Seoul and in other cities in Korea. The Quartet has been expanding the potential of their instrument through varying repertoire; not only do they perform pieces written for guitar but also many arrangements for guitar from Vivaldi’s Four Seasons, Piazzolla’s Four Seasons, film music, jazz, gospel, etc. Praised as “a quartet of individuality from each member and excellence in ensemble as a whole,” the Seoul Guitar Quartet won the first place at the 15th Japanese Guitar Ensemble Competition in 2003 organized by the Japanese Guitar Association and the Ensemble Association. The Quartet released the first album “'Les 4 points cardinaux” in 2005 followed by their second and third albums “Astora Piazzolla” in 2008 and “Moire” in 2013. Also, the Seoul Guitar Quartet became a certified professional arts organization in recognition of their outstanding programming and performing competences. 주최: 세종문화회관
