Jinho Hong, Cello – “Cello Scape”

행사 소개

“The landscapes of the cello imagined by Jinho Hong” This concert presents the solo performance of cellist Jinho Hong, an artist who has continuously explored a wide musical spectrum beyond the boundaries of genre. In 2024, he released the album “Dear Forest,” delicately capturing the sense of healing and comfort he experienced in nature through his own compositions. In 2025, he turned his gaze toward the city and released “City Melody.” Through these works, he portrays with the cello the warm scenes of unfamiliar streets encountered during travel, fragments of distant memories, and the diverse emotions and sounds contained within the city. In this concert, he connects the two worlds presented in his series ‘Forest’ and ‘City,’ expressing both the primal sounds of nature and the unfamiliar yet romantic atmosphere of the city through his lyrical cello melodies. Jinho Hong graduated from the College of Music at Seoul National University and the Hochschule für Musik Würzburg in Germany. He gained widespread recognition after winning the television program “Superband,” and has since continued to expand the expressive possibilities of the cello, moving across genres including classical, jazz, tango, and his own compositions. 주최: 세종문화회관
