Pergolesi Stabat Mater: Bach’s Confession

행사 소개

Cham Philharmonic will present a lecture concert with Pergolesi’s <Stabat Mater> as part of its first special performance series. By comparing the delicate and beautiful sounds of Baroque music presented in different languages and offering deep insight, the philharmonic orchestra wishes to communicate with the audience. Two pieces will be compared for the first time in Korea: <Stabat Mater>, the final masterpiece from G. B. Pergolesi (1710-1736) who died at the age of 26, and <Tilge, Hochster, meine Sunden＞(BWV 1083), an arrangement of Pergolesi’s <Stabat Mater> with Psalm 51 used as the lyrics. A comparison of these two works will present meaningful insight to the audience. 주최: 세종문화회관
