[세종문화회관] 바람만으로 모래만으로는 소리가 나지 않는다

행사 소개

사진 스튜디오 오프비트 아득히 에워싸여, 이윽고 오롯이 우러르는 한불수교 140주년을 기념해 프랑스와 한국의 음악인 6명이 관계 속에서 살아 움직이는 소리에 주목합니다. 정가와 중세 성가, 해금과 비올라가 서로 스며들고 거문고와 전자 음악 그리고 타악이 교차하며, 아티스트와 관객의 호흡 그리고 도시의 소음이 어우러집니다. 사운드 아티스트 해미 클레멘세비츠, 해금을 연주하는 김예지, 비올라 다모레를 연주하는 올리비에 마랭, 거문고를 연주하는 심은용, 중세 성악을 부르는 크리스티앙 플루아, 정가를 부르는 조윤영 - 여섯 아티스트의 호흡과 발성, 마찰과 공명이 교차하며 우리는 도시의 한복판이 살아있는 공명체로 호흡하는 무경계를 탐닉합니다. 톺아보면, 소리는 관계 맺음을 통해 멜로디와 화성, 리듬이 되고 감정을 싣는 음악으로 조직됩니다. 언어 역시 마찬가지 - 모음이 자음을 만나 소리가 되고, 음소가 결합하며 단어와 문장이 됩니다. ‹바람만으로 모래만으로는 소리가 나지 않는다›는 이러한 소리의 발생, 관계 맺음, 확장, 소멸, 귀환의 과정을 여러 층위의 청각적 공간으로 펼쳐내며, 음악을 ‘연주된 결과물’이 아니라 관계 속에서 살아 움직이는 소리로 다루는 소닉 씨어터(Sonic Theatre)를 선보입니다. 본 공연은 문화체육관광부와 한국국제문화교류진흥원의 ‹2026 코리아라운드 컬처(Kore·A·Round Culture)› 사업과 프랑스문화원 PIDA 프로그램의 지원을 받아 제작되었습니다. 후원 Air Echoes Into Open Unison To mark the 140th anniversary of Korea-France diplomatic relations, six French and Korean musicians turn their attention to sound as something that lives and moves through the relationship. Jeongga and medieval chant, haegeum and viola da more seep into one another; geomungo, electronic music, and percussion intersect; and the breath of artists and audience merges with the noise of the city. Sound artist Rémi Klemensiewicz, Yeji Kim on haegeum, Olivier Marin on viola d'amore, Eun-yong Sim on geomungo, Christian Ploix singing medieval vocal music, and Cho Yoon-young singing jeongga—across the breath and vocalization, the friction and resonance of these six artists, we indulge in a borderlessness in which the heart of the city breathes as a living resonant body. Look closely, and sound — through the act of forging relationships — becomes melody, harmony, and rhythm, organized into music that carries emotion. Language works the same way: vowels meet consonants to become sound, and phonemes combine into words and sentences.
