Opera Matinee 'Tosca'

행사 소개

Three acts. Luigi Illica and Giuseppe Giacosa made an opera script by using French playwriter Victorien Sardou's comedy La Tosca. It is a tragic melodrama highly influenced by verismo where torture, murder, suicide and betrayal are directly shown. However, Puccini expresses such elements with lyrical and attractive melodies, and friendly and fined emotions to elevate them to be a piece of art. In particular, Cavaradossi "The Stars Are Shining" and Tosca "Vissi D'Arte, Vissi D'Amore are well known. 주최: 세종문화회관
