The 'Recital of Humanities Series' is a seminar-type concert series that combines musicology and performance. It deals with the historical process by which the concept of 'classical music' was realized and the humanistic contemplation that was the basis for it. Season 1 — HOW DID CLASSICAL MUSIC BECOME SUBLIME? — looks into the full account of classical music taking on a heavy and serious character. Season 2 — WHY BACH? — examined why the work of a certain musician were considered so great and sublime. Season 3 — WHAT MAKES MUSIC SUBLIME? — explores how the concept of ‘ sublime ’ at that time, particularly Kant ’ s das Erhabene ( “ The Sublime ” ), had an effect on the historical lineage of classical music while it was being formed from Bach to Handel, Haydn, Mozart, and Beethoven.
