행사 소개
The One Dream That Blossomed Amid Despair Names erased by history. Families divided by nationality. Wounds that have never fully healed. Our story is not over yet. The deepest tribute to those whose lives were hidden in the shadows of history. "You mustn't die. No matter what happens, you have to live." Sumire Hair Salon The Final Chapter of Chong Wishing's "Zainichi Korean Trilogy" Playwright and director Chong Wishing, best known for Yakiniku Dragon, has chronicled the lives of Zainichi Koreans and ordinary people in postwar Japan through a remarkable theatrical trilogy. Following the generation of birth portrayed in Like Flowers Blooming in the Field and the generation of struggle depicted in Yakiniku Dragon, Sumire Hair Salon completes the generation of memory, illuminating solidarity, resilience, and healing amid the shadows of industrialization. Bound together by the themes of family and coexistence, the trilogy reaches its long-awaited conclusion. A Portrait of a Family Beyond Nationality Within a single family coexist three different identities: Korean nationality, Japanese nationality, and Joseon nationality, never relinquished. One boards the repatriation ship to North Korea. Another chooses to remain in Japan by adopting Japanese nationality. Another continues to long for the homeland left behind. Though their choices lead them down different paths, they continue to care for one another under the same roof. Sumire Hair Salon reveals that what ultimately mends these fractures is the time they have shared together. Written and Directed by Chong Wishing Born in 1957 in Himeji, Hyogo Prefecture, Japan, to second-generation Zainichi Korean parents, Chong Wishing first established himself as a playwright through the renowned theatre companies Black Tent and Shinjuku Ryōzanpaku. Since then, he has built an outstanding career spanning theatre, film, and television, earning numerous prestigious honors, including the Japan Academy Prize and the Mainichi Film Concou 주최: 세종문화회관
